“Alone we can do so little. Together we can do so much.” – Hellen Keller

The essay that I’ve decided to remix is my essay on Burmese Pythons; this essay was my favorite one that I’ve written and is important to me because it affects the state that I live in. This change in the ecosystem affects the wildlife within the Everglades, the plants within it, and how they interact with each other. The affect that Burmese Pythons have on their environment is very fast-acting and significant, so this is important ot discuss.

The audience that I am aiming at for this project are specifically Floridians. Floridians are affected by this because Burmese Pythons are invading their Everglades. This is a local issue and only affects this part of the world. Locals are at risk as the Pythons eat nearly anything so the locals need to be aware of the problem and keep safe. The gender and education level of the audience are at random as this affects locals of all ages, shapes, sizes, etc.

The purpose of my essay is to explain the epidemic that the Everglades have faced and inform both the readers and locals on the invasion of the ecosystem. Without the awareness of what exactly is going on, no change can be made. It is important that locals especially are informed on the issue because they are most likely to engage in or initiate any sort of change and help for the environment.

If I had to rewrite my essay I would elaborate more on the solution to the problem. There are many ways that we could attack this at different scales; through a community level, nation-wide, and on a global scale. I provided enough statistics and information but would certainly elaborate on finding solutions to the issue.
